There are moments in life that feel truly transformative, and for me, one of those moments happened at this year’s Bond University Film & Television Awards (BUFTA). I am incredibly humbled and thrilled to share that I was awarded Best Director, Best Documentary, and the esteemed Best Overall Filmmaker.
Winning these awards is more than just a recognition of my work—it’s a stepping stone to the next chapter of my journey as a filmmaker. Beyond the awards, the film itself holds a deeper meaning for me, as it shed light on the incredible work being done to support women and communities in India. Through More Than Milk, the documentary highlighted how sustainable initiatives can transform lives, empowering women and creating opportunities for a better future.
This project wasn’t just about telling a story—it was about making a difference. Knowing that my work contributed to raising awareness and funds for such an important cause makes this achievement even more special. It reminds me of the power of filmmaking to inspire change and connect people across the globe.
Next year, I’ll begin an exciting new adventure as I start studying at Bond University, an institution renowned for its incredible Film & Television program. I’m eager to immerse myself in an environment filled with talented and passionate people who share my love for filmmaking. The opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate in such a supportive and innovative setting is truly life-changing, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
